Although we specialise in personal and duo training, group classes are available and can be tailored to your requirements.

The Reformer

The Reformer is the main piece of equipment in the studio, with 4 or 5 springs depending on the model. Joseph Pilates believed that it was important to begin exercise in the horizontal plane to relieve stress and strain on the joints and to align the body before adding additional gravitational forces such as standing, kneeling, or sitting. The Reformer reshapes your body and builds a strong core by stabilising and strengthening the abdominal, hip, shoulder, and pelvic muscles. Pilates on a Reformer provides a total body workout that increases power, strength, flexibility, and efficiency.

The Cadillac

The addition of horizontal and vertical bars above the table and suspended trapezes creates the Cadillac. Full concentration is required to work the arms, legs, torso and whole body against the different spring tensions and positions.

The Wunda Chair

The Wunda Chair is essentially a box (usually made of wood) with a padded seat on top and a spring-loaded pedal attached to one side of the box. The idea was to create a tool for people to exercise at home, and you can turn it upside down and use it as a normal chair. The angle of the seat is perfect for your back.

The Arm Chair

The Arm Chair is designed to strengthen the upper body and shoulder girdle. It is also a great tool for strengthening the whole body in different positions such as sitting, kneeling, standing, and promoting healthy posture.

Barrels

Semi Barrel, Spine Corrector and Ladder Barrel: Great for stretching the body, aligning and strengthening the spine. Relieves stiffness in the shoulders and hips and helps with general back pain.

High Mat

The Mat is similar to the mat on the Reformer. As it is softer than the normal Mats we often use in Group Classes, it is also more challenging. There is a strap for the feet and on the top, there are 2 poles on each side for the hands. The goal is to build more strength and better alignment.
